Use payment CTAs
Payment CTAs let viewers buy from the live or replay experience without being sent away from the broadcast. They are useful for workshops, paid upgrades, deposits, limited offers, and other products where the viewer is ready to act during the session.
Before you start
Your workspace needs access to in-stream payment CTAs.
A payment provider, such as Stripe, must be connected in workspace integrations.
The payment CTA should describe exactly what the viewer is buying.
The amount and currency should match the offer you explain during the broadcast.
Connect Stripe
Open workspace settings.
Go to Integrations.
Choose Stripe from the payment integrations.
Start the connection in HeyStream, then sign in to Stripe to approve access.
Return to HeyStream and confirm the Stripe connection is active.
Create a payment CTA
Open the broadcast studio.
Open the CTA menu and select Manage CTA Library.
Select New CTA, then choose Button or Card.
Enter the CTA name and viewer-facing copy.
Set Action to Collect payment.
Choose the connected payment provider.
Enter the payment label, amount, and currency.
Use the Appearance tab to preview how the CTA will look, then save it.
Show the payment CTA
Show the CTA live when the host has clearly explained the offer.
Add it to the replay if the offer remains available after the live broadcast.
When viewers select the CTA, HeyStream opens the checkout experience inside the watch page.
Successful payments are processed through the connected Stripe account.
Payment CTA tips
Use a card CTA when the offer needs more context than a single button can provide.
Make the payment label recognizable because viewers see it during checkout.
Check the amount, currency, and connected Stripe account before going live.
For limited offers, tell viewers whether the replay CTA will stay available.
