Moderate audience activity
Moderation tools help hosts keep chat and Q&A useful during a live session. Depending on the item, you can answer questions, delete content, approve submitted questions, or ban disruptive users from the room.
Moderate chat and Q&A
Open the broadcast studio.
Open the Audience panel.
Go to Chat or Q&A.
Hover over the message or question you want to manage.
Open the moderation menu and choose the action you need.
Available actions
Answer a Q&A item to mark it as handled, with optional answer text.
Approve a question if your workspace requires Q&A approval before questions appear publicly.
Delete a message or question when it should no longer appear in the room.
Ban a user from the room when they should no longer be able to post.
Moderation tips
Agree who is moderating before the broadcast starts.
Use Q&A for questions you plan to answer, and chat for lightweight conversation.
Delete sparingly when a message is confusing, duplicated, or inappropriate.
Ban users only when they are disrupting the broadcast or repeatedly ignoring guidance.
