Connect HeySummit to a HeyStream account
If you already have a paid HeyStream account and you also use HeySummit, you can connect the two so HeySummit-managed workspaces (created when you stream HeySummit talks via HeyStream) show up alongside your native HeyStream workspaces.
This connection is optional. If you only have a HeySummit Success plan and you’re streaming talks via HeyStream inside HeySummit, you don’t need to connect anything in HeyStream.
Before you start
You need an existing HeyStream account you can sign into.
You need a HeySummit account that owns (or has access to) the events you want to stream.
You’ll need your HeySummit login email and password to connect accounts.
Connect your HeySummit account in HeyStream
In HeyStream, open the user menu (bottom-left of the sidebar).
Select **Connect HeySummit**.
Enter your HeySummit email and password, then choose **Connect Account**.
Your credentials are used to verify your HeySummit account and are not stored in HeyStream.
To disconnect later, open the same menu and choose **Manage HeySummit** → **Disconnect Account**.
What you’ll see in HeyStream after connecting
When you stream HeySummit talks via HeyStream, HeySummit can create workspaces and broadcasts in your HeyStream account so the studio can run those talks.
After connecting accounts, those HeySummit-managed workspaces can appear in your HeyStream workspace list alongside your native HeyStream workspaces.
Important: HeySummit-managed workspaces are locked in HeyStream
HeySummit remains the source of truth for HeySummit events. That means:
Event and talk details (title, times, speakers, attendee lists) are managed in HeySummit.
HeyStream locks editing for HeySummit-managed workspaces to avoid conflicting changes.
CRM, analytics, and attendee operations for those events are handled in HeySummit.
If you want full access to HeyStream features (CRM, insights, outbound, and advanced workspace controls) for your own events, create a dedicated HeyStream workspace and manage it directly in HeyStream on a HeyStream subscription.
