Test, sync, and troubleshoot integrations

Use integration management tools to confirm a connection works, pause it when needed, resync historical contacts, and investigate provider errors.

Where to manage integrations

  1. Open Settings from the workspace sidebar.

  2. Select Integrations.

  3. Find the connected provider card under CRM & Email Providers, Notification Providers, or Payment Providers.

  4. Open the actions menu on the provider card.

Available actions

  • Manage Integration: update labels, credentials, notification selections, lists, tags, or provider-specific settings.

  • Resync Historical Contacts: queues a background sync of existing broadcast registrations for contact-sync providers.

  • Send Test Notification: sends a sample Slack notification for a selected notification type.

  • Pause Integration: stops HeyStream from using the connection without deleting it.

  • Resume Integration: turns a paused connection back on.

  • Delete: removes the connection from the workspace.

How historical resync works

Historical resync creates or updates contacts and applies configured lists, tags, and selected custom fields. It does not create historical attended activity or provider-native event records, and it runs in the background for larger workspaces.

Troubleshooting checklist

  • If a connection shows an error, open Manage Integration and check the credentials or authorization.

  • For CRM and email providers, confirm the required provider permissions or scopes are still granted.

  • For list-based providers, refresh the list selector and confirm the selected list or audience still exists.

  • For Slack, send a test notification and confirm the selected channel still accepts messages from HeyStream.

  • For Stripe, reconnect if payment CTAs report that Stripe needs to be refreshed or no active payment provider is available.

  • If an integration was paused, resume it before expecting new registration, attendance, payment, or notification activity to flow.
